The Orange County Fire Authority (OCFA) swiftly sprung into action this morning following multiple calls reporting a fire at the Oh Tio Discount Store in the 1700 block of S. Main St., just before 8:00 AM.
Responding during the height of the morning commute, first responders faced challenging conditions with heavy smoke emanating from the affected building. Recognizing the severity, the OCFA’s E74 crew promptly and decisively escalated the response by calling for a second alarm, mobilizing additional resources to fortify their efforts. Employing a strategic and seamlessly coordinated attack, firefighters successfully contained the fire to its origin point, averting potential damage to two adjacent businesses.
On-site fire investigators are actively working to determine the cause of the incident. Importantly, no injuries have been reported in connection with the blaze. The OCFA’s rapid and effective response, coupled with the skilled actions of the firefighting team, played a pivotal role in preventing a potential disaster along the bustling Main Street of Santa Ana during this morning’s rush hour.
